in any way, shape, or form.

First, there is NO reason this shouldn't be at a minimum a part of a Student U production.  I find it impossible to believe someone giong to the University of Iowa for communications doesn't want to put this together.

Second, this is why Iowa State needs to become relevant again.  I can't fathom the last time this dual wasn't on TV, at a minimum on IPTV (who simply can't afford to get the rights from BTN .... my personal assumption there) but the lack of this being a competitive dual the last few times out has really taken the wind out of the rivalry.

There will be a lot of uproar on the BTN ruining things and without getting into TV money and what it has done for every program at every B1G school, I agree the end result of this not being on TV, sucks.

and I predict non-revenue/Olympic sports will be the ones to suffer.  Even the big 5 power conference schools will do whatever they can to keep up in fewer sports that pay the bills or have more tradition.  A slippery slope is in front of us and I fear wrestling, at many schools, will be digging in and holding on for dear life.

Schedule Change, Season Ticket Announcement

Season begins Nov. 15 at Luther Open, season tickets now on sale

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa Wrestling Program announced Thursday that the 2014-15 season will open Nov. 15 at the Luther Open in Decorah, Iowa.

The Hawkeyes were originally scheduled to open the season hosting the Iowa City Duals on Nov. 21. That date has not changed. Baker University, Cornell College, and Iowa Central open the home schedule beginning at 9 a.m. (CT).

Iowa hosts Iowa State in the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. (CT). That is a change from the original schedule released in August.

Iowa also announced that Virginia will be its opening round opponent for the Cliff Keen National Duals on Feb. 15 in Iowa City, Iowa. The winner of the opening round advances to the eight-team final round on Feb. 22 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes are hosting the Cliff Keen National Duals for the first time since 1999.

The Iowa City Duals and Cliff Keen National Duals are part of the 2014-15 season ticket package. Contact the UI Athletics Ticket Office over the phone at 1-800-IA-HAWKS, online at, or in person at Carver-Hawkeye Arena for season ticket information.

Changes to Iowa’s road schedule have also been announced. The Hawkeyes wrestle Minnesota in Minneapolis on Friday, Jan. 30, not Sunday, Feb. 1, as originally announced.

Road dates at Penn State and Maryland have also been flipped. The Hawkeyes wrestle at Maryland on Friday, Feb. 6, and at Penn State on Sunday, Feb. 8.

Television dates and a complete list of start times will be announced at a later date.

Could probably go 20 deep for the Hack-man.  Superman and Superman 2 could easily be on this list, as well as countless other flicks I either haven't seen and should have (The Conversation stands out as something I have not watched that could get my movie snob card revoked) or flicks that tomorrow i'd put on this same list depending on modd.  Been working actor since 59 it would appear

2.  All the Presidents Men
3.  Jerimiah Johnson
4. 3 Days of the Condor
5. Butch and Sundance  Criminally low I know
6. The Natural
7. Sneakers
8. Quiz Show Could be higher but I haven't rewatched in a long time and the others I have

ok so top 8 Redford movies.  Didn't include directing or Captain American b/c I don't consider that a Redford movie.  If you include directing you have Ordinary People and a River Runs through it.

what say you TOM?  What am I forgetting and what order did I screw up in your, inferior, cinematic opinions.

Bryce most of these movies are story driven and have little to no explosions or dialog written by a group of monkey's chained to typewriters so I understand if you abstain from this one.

In the TOM fantasy football league.  You'll need to contact Viratas for you prize.

Did Red Oaks.  Had some laughs but mostly 80's nostalgia for me.  May try Hysteria, although it doesn't seem that intriguing to me just yet, and Hand of God because I like Ron Perlman.
