I'm have tried to post on Flo's message board but my post continues to get deleted. Martin loves to throw stones at USA Wrestling so I figure if he will not let me post on his own site I will post on the forum of the organization he loves to attack. Adam Fenn wrote a blog on flo countering the hating somewhat of USA Wrestling but before you jump to Adam's blog please read my post that continually has been pulled down after numerous times. This only leads me to believe that I hit a pretty solid nerve with Martin and the Flo crew:

Can Martin and Flo get transparent? I was told by a little birdie that Martin is making thousands from Technique Wave but only paying the wrestlers that make the videos $150.00 for the use of there name and efforts. Is this true can Martin open the books and show the athletes how they profit from the wrestlers. Or, better yet could flo who cares so much for the athletes maybe put some of that money into the Living the Dream fund so I can train. He loves to knock USA Wrestling but they are the only group helping me right now so I would like to know exactly what kind of money technique wave is making and how much is going to the athletes who are making the videos? I would like to know if Martin is really looking out for the athletes or riding there sweat?

If technique wave is not making you any money then why does just about every page of Flo now push technique wave. Let's do the math so everyone can see what the wrestlers are getting and what you are getting:

1. Wrestler gets $150.00 to shoot the videos
2. You get to use there name and sweat to push technique wave
3. You are charging $12.50 per month
4. If you get 1000 members that is $12,500 per month or $150,000 per year (based on the site users that is a fair guess)

Here is another great post Martin about paying the athletes. But, are you exactly telling the athletes how much money you are now making on technique wave before you shoot them? Are you breaking down the numbers for example and explaining that if a few hundred people join because of them how much money you are making from that before you give them a couple hundred bucks? http://www.flowrestling.org/topics/view ... ue-section


Again, why not take some of the profits from technique wave and give to the fund instead of giving them nickels?

To be fair how long do you think it would take to film the techniques on technique wave. Lets say it takes 3 hours to film the technique on technique wave. That is $50 an hour. Yes it maybe unethical and dirty if he isn't telling the athletes how he makes that much $ but if he is still making a good profit and can bring in the best wrestlers in America for technique wave you can't bash him for not raising the $ for the wrestlers.

I agree spladle and that is the position I tend to hold.

Now for the "but", I think it bother people if and I mean If (I am not fully aware of the issues etc...) think he is on one hand stating he is about the athlete and promoting, helping etc...

But I do not know if that is the case. So I am more along the lines with you. If the worked 3 hours for $50/hr I think thats a pretty fair wage. Also, the athletes can choose to do their own and make more money. This is what I would do.

Also, I dont think Martin gets a $150,000 for himself. He probably has to use that $ to run flo, pay his employees etc. But if he does get that much $ he deserves every penny. Flowrestling.com is the best invention for wrestling besides the mat.

I wish he would put some into making the site easy to navigate and find matches, it is my 2nd choice to youtube when looking for film to breakdown.,

When do a search you get way to much junk back.

But its hard to do when you are dealing with the volume of data, but it would make an enhancement to a already good tool
