Well actually.... the term "collapse" is subjective. Can you give some finite parameters or range of decline?

I should have. When internal and external forces so undermine the currency that it is virtually useless and no longer serves as the worlds reserve currency.

Fiat currency is a sham. It serves no other purpose than to shift true wealth from the many to the few. Our currency has been undermined for quite some time now. Its value is faith based and there are fewer true believers worldwide with each passing day. When the non believers out number the true believers the charade will end.

I'd like to hear from those who indicated "indefinite". Personally, I think we will see a nation going bankrupt (officially) before long and then a domino effect. As far as the peso is concerned it wouldn't surprise me if Mexico goes down entirely.

To be honest, I'm surprised Mexico hasn't blown up yet. Talk about a country out of control

You're not kidding. When I lived in Santa Fe I had a friend who was a Federal Marshall. He said many of the Mexican Mafia had homes in our fair city. There is so much corruption there it is simply frightening. Some very good people as well but they are oppressed.

Mexico is ripe for a military junta. And in this case its probably the only way they can restore sanity.
