Took a red shirt. Beefing up more for 157 next year, plus it make the team strong next season.

I wish him luck. I like the kid. Dedication to your sport is fine.... but it shouldnt replace your life.

I guess they are hoping for a very strong squad next year.

Imagine the good that could be done, if people were less worried about their differences, and more worried about doing good for everyone.

It would be nice to see a rematch with Metcalf when both are 100%.

Bry I disagree they may have a real shot. ( My guess for 2010 AA)

125 Sanders (AA)
133 Ness (AA)
141 Thorn (AA)
149 Mason
157 Schlatter (AA)
165 Glasser (AA)
174 C. Yohn
184 S. Yohn
197 Gieger
HWT Disney (AA)

Plus that is a very young team with only 2 Seniors next year.

vs. (Bry you can help me here you know more on them then I do)

125 Moore
133 Dennis
141 LeClere
149 GOD (Metcalf)
157 M*
165 ?????
174 Borschel
184 Keddy
197 Beatty
HWT Ereckson

125 MN
133 Toss up
141 MN
149 IA
157 MN
165 MN
174 IA
184 IA
197 IA
HWT Toss up

Sanders is a beast. I am thinking a high placing AA is very likely this March.

141:  Slaton or LeClere
149:  Metcalf (AA)
157:  Ballweg
165:  M* or Covington or Kerr (Covington if healthy/eligible, Kerr otherwise) (AA)
174:  Borchel (AA)
184:  Keddy  (AA)
197:  Beatty  (AA)
Hwt:  Erekson  (AA)

I will give you 125 and 157.  However I would venture to say that 149, 174, 184, and 197 are all Hawk victories.  That's 2-4 right there.  133 has to be at least a toss-up, Dennis already has a victory over Ness. At 141 you're going to have either LeClere (hungry) or Slaton (out for redemption) going against the Hyped Thorn...toss-up.  And at Hwt, Erekson will be another off-season of lifting with the football team stronger, at WORST he should be a slight favorite.  Iowa should easily have 7 All-Americans next year with Moore and the 141 spot holder having chances at getting on the podium as well.

But I'm looking at the line-up through Black and Gold colored glasses.
