I'm not sure I'd say he has regressed, but he doesn't seem to have improved.  The Iranian that ate him up lost to Sharifov 4-3 recently so he is no slouch.  He has teched (pinned Snyder) his way through this tourney and no one has scored on him.  He is good.

He teched Bo 10-0,  pinned Snyder after being up 8-0, and is eating everyone alive.

Snyder is going for Bronze today. So now Snyder can be considered as the #4 guy in the world at 97.

It just dawned on me that Bo Nickal was wrestling at 97 Kg - is that his normal freestyle weight class?

He's undersized.  Snyder took Bronze.

Thanks - I did see that.  Are folks still talking about Cox going 97?  That does not make much sense to me but I am no expert.  Seems to me Cox would be better at 89 or whatever that weight is - and take his chances against David Taylor.

Cox is pretty ripped at 92 Kg.  I think he'll have a hard time getting to 86 (-13 lbs) without cutting all of it in muscle mass

I find it interesting that Nickal med forfeited his consi bronze bout with Snyder.  By the way Nickal took a 10-0 loss to the same Mohammadian (Iran), that sacked Snyder.

Thanks for the update RYOu.

Generally, our guys on Saturday did pretty good.  Very impressed with Zahid.  I just didn't think he could do it, but he has proven himself to be a force.  86kg will be a real battle assuming Taylor and Cox are there with all the other.  Also impressed with PDIII.  He did very well.
