Imagine for a moment... a fighter in MMA that had never lost a college wrestling match and was never taken down, was a Olympic Silver Medalist (with a disputed loss) AND was a National Gold Glove champion!

Hodge would have needed to learn a little BJJ (or how to defend it) and he would have been a monster.

Hodge also had experience in old school catch wrestling as well.

His submission game was as good as an experienced BJJ practitioner.

If I remember correctly, he had a strong relationship with the Snakepit.

He may not have had a gi or a belt, but Hodge was just the End "Strangler" Lewis, Frank Gotcha, and Josh Barnett.
