My ranking of the toughness of the weights
1. 174  Slightly less top heavy as 141, but with Massa at 4 & Washinington at 5 and Romero at 6 this weight wins the crown
2. 141  The top 3 here are all potenital national threats, but after Chad Red it drops off fast
3. 285  Slight edge here over 197 due to the dominance of Steveson
4. 197  Good balance but no sure fire finalists
5  157  Deakin is solid favorite here but 5 or 6 guys could easily make the finals
6  149  Sossa  is solid favorite but like 157 several other could make final
7. 133  Top heavy with RBY & DeSanto, Alvarez is decent but after that nothing
8. 165  Marinelli is solid, but only 3 other finals contenders
9. 125  Everybody ducking Spencer, who can blame them but there isnt much separating #2-#7
10184  After Brooks there isnt much here at all

Iowa has a top 3 seed in all but 174.

Penn St with 4, tOSU with 3.

Kind of a turnaround from previous years.

I expect quite a few "upsets" off the seeds purely due to the minimal competition that occurred arising out of program pauses.

So with 10 weights, Iowa has someone ranked top 3 in 9 of those.  PSU has 4 ranked top 3.

How does Iowa have 4 weak weights and PSU 3 weak weights?   I can see PSU, but Iowa has apparently 9 strong weights and 1 weak one.

I'd say this spells trouble for PSU to win the National Team title.

It would be the first time Iowa won the conference and PSU the national title, albeit a stretch this year.  Robert Howard, Penn State was seeded 11.  He'll be in the semi finals.

All those are very solid except 184.  Nelson  should finish from 4th - 7th range.  That is not bad for "the weak link".

How u feel about Kirkvliet being #7? Seems ok but #6 would be better. Let him wrestle Cassiopi rather than Paris. Putting him at #7 is a raw deal for Paris.

Wild card in all this is Desanto.  Will he fake another injury when he get cradled?

We'll also get to see who the best Pennsylvania team is. Nittany Lions or Hawkeyes.

A kid did this to my brother, claimed he was being choked whilst in a cradle.  My brother could cradle anyone.  Anyway, the kid was a state champion the year before so the ref stopped the match for him being choked.  Not sure how you choke a person you have in a cradle.  Anyway, the match was stopped.   My dad was livid I hear (I was in college at the time) because the kid was pinned flat.  The kid was able to avoid another cradle and win the match.  My bro was robbed I tell you.
