Good thing I'm staying home from the Olympics

Watched 100 & 200 speed swimming last night. USA took it on the chin except for a teenage Alaskan that pulled an upset besting the top 2 in the world.

Maybe it's a disaster, but I've enjoyed watching a lot of events, and they haven't even come to wrestling yet.

#1 US pole vaulter, #2 contender tested pos and was bounced from competition on Friday...tested neg on Saturday day but was required to wait 48 hours for his 3rd test which was after the Saturday prelims. Tested neg again today...bummer, booted for a bogus pos test.

Taylor's championship bout is on The Olympic Channel, 5:15 AM EST on Aug 5.  Don't know if it will air exactly at that time.
He gets Iran's Hassan Yazdani, a 2016 Olympic champ and two-time world champ.

Today, Snyder has a great draw.   In other words Sad has a bad draw.  Sad's first match is with Sharifov, then his second match will most likely be against Mohammidian.  Two powerhouses.  If not Moham, then Odikadze who is usually pretty tough. 

Snyder is up against CAN first, then either ITA or ROU second, and then third either KAZ, ALG, UZB, or TUR.   I believe him to be top 3 so these should not be a problem.  He should make it to the finals.  Hopefully another great day for Team USA.

Overall we have lots o medals, very successful Olympics for our Freestyle team.  GR not so much.  Although Hancock was impressive.  I hope he sticks with it.
