But I looked again and those that were 5-8, at least in the first 2 weights were not so lucky.  Some of those will have a long slog ahead in the consi's if they still make their seed.

So far as I can see, there weren't any 1st session surprises for the top 4 seeds.  All won their bouts.

Top 4 seeds sent to the consos through the 2nd round:

141: (2) Eierman
157: (1) Carr
197: (4) Brucki

Quarterfinals should be fun tomorrow .Especially looking forward to all the matches at 165. Parris/Schultz will also be fun.

Brucki going down early and missing out on championship side bonus points put a big dent in UM's shot.  He'll have to bang out some bonus points on the backside to make up for it.  Same for Eireman / Iowa  He hasn't looked good.  I sense he'll go down in the blood round, maybe earlier.

3rd session brought some action.  I  notice a number of semi finals are with folks with seeds > 4.  Unfortunately, PSU seems to be unstoppable.  They brought 9 I think and only 6 are still in there, in the semi's.  The other three are out.

Iowa seems to have tanked.  Currently at #4 with 37.5 points.  PSU has 73 so almost twice as much.  ASU with 53 at 3rd is not bad.

Tonight  will separate the men from the wannabees.  Although I've seen college wrestlers up close, and I don't think I'd call any of them wannabees.

Yah. IA has fallen far. Even worse than I thought.
