It took him FOUR tries this year but he FINALLY got the win
« on: March 19, 2022, 02:32:26 PM »
That being Stanford's defending national champion at 165 lbs Shane Griffith - in reference to the fact that he had lost three matches earlier this season to Cal Poly's Evan Wick (# 1 Seed at the 2022 National tournament at 165 lbs).  But with a beautiful takedown in the last few seconds of their 4th match this season Griffith defeated Wick for the first time this season.  Griffith is in the finals vs. the # 2 Seed and Wick ended up taking 3rd place.

I don't know which was more impressive tho between Griffith's very impressive last second takedown on Wick or Cohlton Schultz very impressive last season win over that got him the win over Lehigh's # 6 Seed Jordan Wood last night.

Schultz turning dust to gold...silver.  Wood had him on his back after that huge left, but Schultz was strong enough to roll through it.
